CARROLL, Ohio -
Liberty Union (Baltimore, Ohio) snapped the four-game winning streak of
Bloom-Carroll (Carroll, Ohio), with a 18-0 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a safety in the second quarter, the Lions led 15-0 at the half.
Liberty Union expanded its lead to 18 points entering the fourth quarter. LU scored once in the quarter on a field goal by
Jacob Basso.
With the win the Baltimore school extended its winning streak to five games. Liberty Union defeated Amanda-Clearcreek 33-6 last week.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 20-7 win for the Lions.
The loss comes after Bloom-Carroll defeated Fairfield Union 47-6 last week.
Bloom-Carroll (4-1) will play a Mid-State - Buckeye game against Logan Elm next week, while Liberty Union (5-0) will take on Hamilton Township also in a Mid-State - Buckeye game.
