The West Orange Warriors will take on the Winter Park Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games West Orange has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Wednesday, it was close, but West Orange sidestepped Cypress Creek for a 6-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won four in a row.

Braxton Stalvey looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Miguel Acosta, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Angel Martinez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Winter Park entered their tilt with Lake Nona on Wednesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went their way against the Lions as they made off with an 11-4 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Palmer Edwards tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Isaac Incinelli was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Jersey, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Winter Park's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for West Orange, their record now sits at 8-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. West Orange has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Winter Park struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
West Orange beat Winter Park 5-1 when the teams last played back in February of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Orange since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
