After flying high against the Brilliant Tigers on Friday, the Hackleburg Panthers came back down to earth. The game between Hackleburg and the Red Raiders wasn't particularly close, with the Panthers falling 78-63. While losing is never fun, Hackleburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Red Raiders are ranked 104th).
It was another big night for Joe Aldridge, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists for Marion County. Aldridge hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Tye Madison was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Hackleburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Marion County, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-5.
Hackleburg and the Indians will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Marion County, they and the Pirates will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
