The Live Oak Acorns's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They fell  79-68 to Oakwood. Live Oak has not had much luck with Oakwood recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
 Despite the loss, Live Oak still got an impressive performance from   Austin Jennings, who  dropped  a double-double on 24 points and 13  rebounds. The  match was  Jennings' 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Devon Deharo, who  scored 11 points.
 Live Oak has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost six of their last seven matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Oakwood, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Live Oak will take on Silver Creek at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in California (Silver Creek is ranked 1131st, while Live Oak is ranked 1140th). Oakwood won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Carmel at 7:00  p.m.  on January 5th. One thing working in Carmel's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  every time they've taken the court this season.
