JAYDEN SWENSEN and XAVIER JOHNSON provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Omaha Westside. The longest such play in A District 3 this season, the connection resulted in 58 yards.
Millard South extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Omaha South, 50-13. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Patriots.
Benson's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. SWENSEN threw for 109 and two touchdowns and JOHNSON had 76 yards receiving. On the ground Avondre Collins chipped in 22 yards. TYREE PETER helped Benson's passing attack out by catching one ball for 25 yards.
Benson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bunnies feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. SWENSEN has thrown for 530 yards and three touchdowns this season, while PETER has 13 catches for 173 yards. JAVONTE GREEN leads the league in rushing with 161 yards.
The marquee game in A District 3 this week will be the clash between the Warriors and Millard South. Omaha Westside comes into the matchup ranked 23rd in the state, while Andy Means's team ranks third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Brett Froendt's team takes on the Patriots. The Warriors have allowed 73 points this season, while Millard South has given up 62.
Omaha Westside took down the Bunnies 56-12 last week, the largest margin of any game.
