This season hasn't been kind to the Baxter Springs Lions, who are still winless after their seventh matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 51-22 loss at the hands of Southeast. Baxter Springs was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-11.
Leading Southeast to victory were Eliz White and Teagan Warner. White scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, while Warner dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points White has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Bella Tavernaro, who scored five points.
Baxter Springs bumped their record down to 0-7 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road. As for Southeast, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Columbus the next time they take the court. Baxter Springs will head out to face Columbus at TBD on Friday, while Southeast will host them at TBD on Monday.
