The Valor Christian Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 35 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat The King's Academy 67-32 at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valor Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Riley Dean, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Dean scored 15 or more points. Alyssa Mulholland was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Despite the defeat, The King's Academy saw an underclassman step up: Addyson Nix scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Emma Johnson, who scored seven points.
Valor Christian pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for The King's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Valor Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Excel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Excel Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 451st, while Valor Christian is ranked 98th). As for The King's Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Dominion Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
