The Castle Knights had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They skirted past Evansville Reitz 52-49. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Castle also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Evansville Reitz still got an impressive performance from Norah Miller, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Miller scored a full 36.7% of Evansville Reitz's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelyse Mitchell, who scored eight points.
Castle's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Evansville Reitz, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Castle will take on Bedford North Lawrence at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bedford North Lawrence presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Castle in Indiana (Bedford North Lawrence is ranked ninth, while Castle is ranked 51st). As for Evansville Reitz, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Princeton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
