On Friday Watertown take on Melrose at Victory Field at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Watertown now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
It was close but no cigar for Watertown as they fell 19-21 to Cambridge Rindge & Latin last week. The defeat was a vexing one since Watertown were expected to win based on their state ranking.
Meanwhile, if Melrose were riding high off their 40-6 takedown of Malden two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Melrose found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 13-35 punch to the gut against Lincoln-Sudbury. Melrose were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-28.
