Lake Travis is 6-0 against Bowie since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Lake Travis Cavaliers will head out on the road to face off against the Bowie Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Lake Travis will be strutting in after a victory while Bowie will be coming in after a defeat.
After only six points in their last game, Lake Travis made sure to put some points up on the board against Austin on Friday. Lake Travis breezed by Austin at home to the tune of 62-14. Considering Lake Travis has won five matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Among those leading the charge was Chaston Ditta, who threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Dylan Cullers was in the mix as well, providing Lake Travis with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Bowie fell victim to Westlake's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Chaparrals 62-0. While losing is never fun, Bowie can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 356th, while Westlake is ranked 15th).
Lake Travis' win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Bowie, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Everything came up roses for Lake Travis against Bowie in their previous matchup back in October of 2021 as the team secured a 52-21 win. Will Lake Travis repeat their success, or does Bowie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
