The Suwannee Bulldogs lost against the Columbia Tigers back in December of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Suwannee had to suffer through a rough 51-19 loss at the hands of Columbia. Suwannee has struggled against Columbia recently, as their match on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kiera Jelks, who scored 7 points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbia to victory, but perhaps none more so than AYESHA BROXEY, who scored 22 points along with 8 assists and 4 steals. ERIEL BAKER was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 8 steals and 6 rebounds.
Suwannee now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Columbia, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 1-2.
Suwannee will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Palatka at 6:00 p.m. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to face off against Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Santa Fe and Columbia are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
