While losing is never fun, Harvey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 525th, while Madison is ranked 190th).
Harvey lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Deontae Ware, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Braylon Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and two steals.
JP Dragas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Madison, scoring 20 points along with six steals and five assists. Dragas has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Negan, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Harvey has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Madison, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3.
Harvey will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Edgewood at 6:45 p.m. on January 19th. Edgewood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 734 points over their last 11 contests. As for Madison, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Geneva at 7:00 p.m. Geneva is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
