Ridgevue hasn't had much luck against Middleton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Warhawks are taking a road trip to take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Ridgevue is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
Ridgevue barely beat Meridian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warhawks were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Warriors on Tuesday. The Warhawks haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Hunter Schmittel looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ridgevue is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

Logan Hirasaki

| 03/19/26 vs Lewiston | 1 |
| 03/14/26 vs Columbia | 1 |

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Logan Hirasaki, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Jet Ayala also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Middleton). They put the hurt on Borah with a sharp 14-4 victory on Thursday.
Middleton got a massive performance out of Cam Lenius, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Drew Holman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Middleton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Middleton now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Ridgevue, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ridgevue has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Middleton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.6 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Ridgevue couldn't quite finish off Middleton when the teams last played back in May of 2025 and fell 2-0. Can the Warhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
