Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Valley Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Cumberland Valley extended their postseason success on Thursday against Mechanicsburg. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

While Cumberland Valley might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mechanicsburg scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19, 25-21.

Leading Cumberland Valley to victory were Hayden Ackley and Isaiah Sibbitt. Ackley had 29 digs and one assist, while Sibbitt had 41 assists. Sibbitt has been hot for a while, having posted 22 or more assists the last 33 times he's played.

Cumberland Valley pushed their record up to 17-0-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mechanicsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.
