Their game last Saturday wasn't at all kind to Pembroke, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They dodged a bullet on Saturday, finishing off Kingswood 22-21. The win was a breath of fresh air for Pembroke as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Finally capturing their first victory of the season, Pembroke advanced to 1-7. Kingswood's defeat pushes them down to 1-7.
The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Next week Pembroke will take on Merrimack Valley at 6:00 PM. Merrimack Valley are limping into the contest on a nine-game losing streak. Kingswood will be staying on the road, facing off against Kennett. Both of those teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
