After a string of three wins, the Chicago Military Academy Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 50-25 walloping at the hands of Chicago Vocational. Chicago Military Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-9.
Chicago Military Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Taylor Jackson, who scored 12 points, and Adamaris Cardoso who scored ten points. Jackson scored a full 48% of Chicago Military Academy's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Among those leading the charge was Victoria Hamilton, who scored 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Chicago Vocational's points. Another player making a difference was Dalyia Langston, who scored nine points.
Chicago Military Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Chicago Vocational, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
Chicago Military Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Richards at 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2024. Richards comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Chicago Vocational will be home for the holidays to greet Chicago Sullivan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Chicago Sullivan comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 15 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
