It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Amphitheater Panthers had no problem doing just that on Friday. They never let the Badgers onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Amphitheater's winning goal came courtesy of Aime Uwimana.
Amphitheater's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7-1. As for Prescott, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Amphitheater will head out on the road to face off against Bradshaw Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Arizona (Bradshaw Mountain is ranked 60th, while Amphitheater is ranked 71st). Prescott does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
