The Parrish Community Bulls won the last time they faced the Bayshore Bruins, and things went their way on Friday too. Parrish Community walked away with a 61-54 victory over Bayshore.
Parrish Community's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Malakai Cuffy, who scored 17 points along with six assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cuffy has scored at least 25% of Parrish Community's points. Dylan Higgins was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with four steals.
William Strawbridge and Demetrios Kimon certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Strawbridge scored 20 points along with six rebounds, while Kimon scored 17 points. The contest was Strawbridge's 12th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayce Brave, who scored six points.
Parrish Community's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Bayshore, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
Parrish Community will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Sarasota at 2:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023. Sarasota presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Parrish Community in Florida (Sarasota is ranked 43rd, while Parrish Community is ranked 316th). Bayshore won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Waggener at 11:00 a.m. on December 30, 2023.
