The Robertsdale Golden Bears lost against the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Robertsdale took a hard 56-42 fall against McGill-Toolen. Robertsdale has struggled against McGill-Toolen recently, as their matchup on Monday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Gabe Stevens and Kole Singler certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Stevens scored 15 points along with four steals, while Singler scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Stevens is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight.
Robertsdale has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season. As for McGill-Toolen, they pushed their record up to 23-7 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
Robertsdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McGill-Toolen, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Faith Academy at 4:00 p.m. on February 29th. Faith Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 220th, while McGill-Toolen is ranked 40th).
