The Peach County Trojans entered their tilt with the Jackson Red Devils with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Peach County strolled past Jackson with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 65-51. Peach County pushed the score to 52-32 by the end of the third, a deficit Jackson cut but never quite recovered from.
Peach County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brandon Michael led the charge by scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Willock, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Jackson still got an impressive performance from Jaden Roberts, who scored 18 points along with three steals. Roberts hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Jaydyn Scott, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Peach County pushed their record up to 11-12 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Jackson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-18.
Peach County will be playing in front of their home fans against Mary Persons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Peach County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season. As for Jackson, they will head out on the road to square off against Pike County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Jackson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
