Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wando). They put the hurt on Cane Bay with a sharp 14-1 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Cobras: they've now won four in a row.
Evan Johnson was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Brian Culbertson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Bishop O'Connell's record now sits at 10-1. As for Wando, their record is now 5-8.
Bishop O'Connell's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's matchup. The Knights have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.5 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Wando, though, as they've been averaging only 0.8 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Bishop O'Connell continue to outrun the ball?
