For the first time this season, Danville will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Lebanon Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lebanon better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Danville's game on Friday is any indication, that's when Danville really gets things going. The Warriors put the hurt on Roger Bacon with a sharp 37-13 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 54th in Indiana, while the Spartans are ranked 263rd in Ohio).

Daiton Hood
09/26/25 vs Roger Bacon | 117 |
09/27/24 @ Southmont | 83 |
09/19/25 @ Tri-West Hendricks | 66 |
10/18/24 vs North Montgomery | 58 |
08/30/24 vs Purdue Poly Englewood | 44 |
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Danville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daiton Hood, who rushed for 117 yards and a pair of scores on only 13 carries. Those 117 rushing yards gave Hood a new career-high. Another receiver making a difference was Trevor Lynch, who gained 101 total yards and two touchdowns.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Danville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 265 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 162 rushing yards in four consecutive contests.
Danville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Porter Prather and Jacob Fultz. Fultz is becoming a predictor of Danville's success: when he posts at least one interception the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). The Warriors got some further help from Bryce Eagen: he picked up a sack, made 11 total tackles, and defended one pass.
Meanwhile, Lebanon entered their tilt with Triton Central on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against Triton Central by a score of 21-14. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Lebanon was the better team in the second half.
Danville better keep an eye on Chris Hill. He was instrumental in Lebanon's win, rushing for 69 yards and one TD, while also throwing for 73 yards and one touchdown. Tannon Monden got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
The win got Danville back to even at 3-3. As for Lebanon, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Danville has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 181.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Lebanon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 161 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Danville beat Lebanon 21-10 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
