Meanwhile, Riverton Parke took their game at home on Saturday with ease, bagging a 54-8 victory over Providence Cristo Rey. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-2.
Riverton Parke's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aubri Morman, who scored 9 points along with 8 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Mathas, who scored 10 points.
Clay City's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Riverton Parke, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Keep an eye on the arc in Thursday's game: Clay City have been dynamite from deep this season, having only made 34.2% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Riverton Parke, though, as they've only made 27.4% of theirs this season. Given Clay City's sizeable advantage in that area, Riverton Parke will need to find a way to close that gap.
