The Snohomish Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Lake Stevens Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Snohomish 2.4, Lake Stevens 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Tuesday, Snohomish beat Lincoln 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Rider Walsh made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Walsh was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Breckin Davisson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Carter Priszner also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lake Stevens). They were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over Marysville-Pilchuck on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Tomahawks: they've now won three in a row.
Charles Long-Scott looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Evan Ryan, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Gadin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
Lake Stevens was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .606. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Snohomish's record is now 8-3. As for Lake Stevens, their record now sits at 5-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Snohomish has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lake Stevens struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Snohomish skirted past Lake Stevens 4-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
