For the first time this season, Wayne will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to challenge the Panguitch Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wayne has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Wayne is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past North Sevier 63-39 on Thursday. The Badgers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

AJ VanDyke produced another solid performance shooting 41% from the field to rack up 30 points and eight rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Bree Torgerson was another key player, putting up nine points and three blocks.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Panguitch, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against Piute on Thursday as they made off with a 46-25 victory. The Bobcats pushed the score to 39-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Thunderbirds cut but never quite recovered from.
Panguitch's win came from a few key players Wayne will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Annie Yardley, who posted 11 points and six steals. Those six steals gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lillee Torgersen, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.
Wayne pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Panguitch, their record now sits at 3-1.
Thursday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Wayne has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 35.4% of their three-pointers per game. However, it's not like Panguitch struggles in that department as they've made 35.6% of their threes this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Wayne didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Panguitch in their previous meeting back in March, but they still walked away with a 56-50 victory. Will the Badgers repeat their success, or do the Bobcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
