Landry Murray spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zea Sullivan, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Taylor Lawrence was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Trinity was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They are a perfect 12-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Littlestown and Delone Catholic have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Thunderbolts put the hurt on the Squires with a sharp 12-4 win.
Maddy Dubbert tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Littlestown got a massive performance out of Libby Brown, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Adyson Popoff, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Littlestown pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Trinity, their victory bumped their record up to 13-4.
Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Trinity has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .479. However, it's not like Littlestown struggles in that department as they've averaged .518. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
