The Thrall Tigers meant business on Friday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Tigers squad that has allowed just 28.25 points per contest. Thrall took down May 55-36.
Thrall's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashlyn Jarosek led the charge by scoring 17 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Jarosek has scored at least 25% of Thrall's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley Hoffman, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Thrall's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for May, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Thrall's road trip will continue as they head out to face Holland at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for May, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Abilene Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abilene Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1266th, while May is ranked 453rd).
