The Ripon Indians put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 55-49 win over West. This was payback for Ripon, who suffered a 83-51 loss the last time these two teams met.
Dawson Downs was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Schoolland, who scored 8 points.
Ripon pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Ripon will head out on the road to face off against Atwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for West, they will square off against Downey at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
