The La Crosse Logan Rangers can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with an 84-77 win over Sparta. La Crosse Logan's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grant Geier, who scored 16 points. Geier continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Thomas Laufenberg, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds.
La Crosse Logan's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-5. As for Sparta, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Crosse Logan will be home for the holidays to greet Onalaska at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sparta will be home for the holidays to greet Baraboo at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Baraboo is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.
