The Hammond Golden Bears waltzed into their matchup Wednesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Mt. Hebron 45-29. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hammond also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hammond to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sara Yarnell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Yarnell is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Delani Thomas was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Hammond's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for Mt. Hebron, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Hammond will head out on the road to face off against Marriotts Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Hebron will take on Glenelg in a holiday battle at TBD on Friday at.
