After two lead changes,
Brush (Colo.) took the lead for good when
Kyle Rosenbrock ran for a touchdown with 10:00 remaining in the second quarter and held on to beat
Valley (Gilcrest, Colo.) 56-27 on Saturday.
The Beetdiggers were up 49-13 at the half after taking the lead on a Rosenbrock touchdown run in the second quarter.
Rosenbrock was the top performer for Brush. The sophomore running back ran for four touchdowns and kicked one extra point. He has now scored 17 touchdowns on the season.
Brandon Garza played well for the Vikings. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
BHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 56-20.
With the win the Beetdiggers extended their winning streak to three games.
Valley (2-5) will play a 2A Patriot game against Platte Valley next week, while Brush (5-2) will take on Sterling also in a 2A Patriot game.
