After a string of five wins, the Albemarle School Colts's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against First Flight, falling 60-22. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Albemarle School in their matchups with First Flight: they've now lost four in a row.
Braelyne Brewer and Addison Delosreyes certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Brewer scored 11 points along with 5 steals, while Delosreyes scored 4 points along with 5 rebounds. Brewer is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Albemarle School's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for First Flight, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albemarle School will take on First Flight at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for First Flight, they will head out on the road to face off against Northern Nash at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
