First Baptist lost to Ovilla Christian back in February of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The First Baptist Saints took their matchup with ease, bagging a 73-46 win over the Ovilla Christian Eagles. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 contests by 27 points or more this season.

Georgia Alford continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 25 points along with six rebounds and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Meredith Quinn, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 boards.

First Baptist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 23 consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Ovilla Christian still got an impressive performance from Sophie Henry, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 21 rebounds. That was a full 37% of Ovilla Christian's points, marking the 15th time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Collette Gentry was another key player, scoring eight points and nine boards.

First Baptist's victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Ovilla Christian, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 14-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Baptist will take on Prestonwood Christian North at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. First Baptist has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 214 points over their last three matches. As for Ovilla Christian, they will challenge Cambridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ovilla Christian is facing Cambridge at the right time seeing as Cambridge is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
