LeRoy stacked a seventh blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Fieldcrest 56-28 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-20.
Meanwhile, Villa Grove entered their tilt with Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Villa Grove claimed a resounding 60-20 win over Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] on the road. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Villa Grove just coasted through the last quarter.
Villa Grove had a senior duo take command as Gunner Cline rushed for 137 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries and Layne Rund rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns. Cline hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
LeRoy's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Villa Grove, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-3.
