Baseball Game Preview: Parker Broncs vs. Kingman Bulldogs

Parker is 1-9 against Kingman since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Parker will look to defend their home field against Kingman at 3:45 p.m. Neither Parker nor Kingman posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Last Tuesday, Parker came up short against Tonopah Valley and fell 5-2. The Broncs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maddix Young made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Kingman and Chino Valley meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. Kingman fell just short of Chino Valley by a score of 3-1. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Kingman saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Houston, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Even though they lost, Kingman hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chino Valley struck out eight times.

Parker's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Kingman, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Parker has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Kingman struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
