In what's become a running theme this season, the Cross County Cougars gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They breezed by East Butler on the road to the tune of 89-56. Cross County's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Ashton Seim was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Hollinger, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds.
Cross County pushed their record up to 18-4 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for East Butler, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Cross County will square off against Auburn at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Butler, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Friday. Lyons-Decatur Northeast is facing East Butler at the right time seeing as East Butler is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
