The St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons will take on the Maurepas Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (St. Thomas Aquinas has ten straight wins, Maurepas has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
St. Thomas Aquinas' pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over Hammond. Considering the Falcons have won 22 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Miley Rogers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Lylah Madere was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Beauchamp, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
St. Thomas Aquinas hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Maurepas didn't have quite enough to beat Holden on Tuesday and fell 5-4.
Khloe Luquette made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Maurepas now has a losing record of 14-15. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their victory bumped their record up to 28-8.
St. Thomas Aquinas suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to Maurepas when the teams last played back in April of 2023. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
