The J.H. Rose Rampants will head out on the road to face off against the D.H. Conley Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. J.H. Rose is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, J.H. Rose got the win against the Monarchs by a conclusive 72-51. J.H. Rose pushed the score to 58-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Monarchs cut but never quite recovered from.
J.H. Rose's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Green, who scored 12 points along with six assists and five steals. Green is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Grimes, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, D.H. Conley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. The game between them and Havelock wasn't particularly close, with D.H. Conley falling 59-45.
J.H. Rose's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for D.H. Conley, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
J.H. Rose strolled past the Vikings in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 48-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for J.H. Rose since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
