The St. James Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 39-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of York County Tech.
York County Tech's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Le'Icessess Harrison led the charge by scoring 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Harrison has scored at least 25% of York County Tech's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa Parker, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds.
St. James' defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for York County Tech, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. James will take on Hedgesville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hedgesville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for York County Tech, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lancaster Mennonite at 7:30 p.m.
