Tegan Avera helped Newman out on the ground, rushing for 100 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Sevier County was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 404 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jefferson County only gained 286.
Lenoir City's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Sevier County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
