It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pacifica had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 78-33 win over the Bulldogs on the road. Pacifica's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Meanwhile, Mary Star of the Sea had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They really took it to Hesperia Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-36 win on the road. With Mary Star of the Sea ahead 45-19 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Pacifica's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-11. As for Mary Star of the Sea, their win bumped their record up to 19-9.
Pacifica was able to grind out a solid win over Mary Star of the Sea in their previous meeting back in December of 2014, winning 60-47. Will Pacifica repeat their success, or does Mary Star of the Sea have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
