Softball Recap: West Linn Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

There's no place like home for West Linn, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the Lakeridge Pacers 15-2 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won nine matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Kendall Atwood was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Adi Johnston, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

West Linn has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeridge, they dropped their record down to 3-18 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Linn will host Lake Oswego on Friday. As for Lakeridge, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tigard at 5:00 p.m. The last four games the Tigers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
