Despite the defeat, Cristo Rey Research Triangle had strong showings from Jamaal Miller, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 25 rebounds, and Christian Gill, who scored 22 points along with three steals. That was a full 44.9% of Cristo Rey Research Triangle's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cristo Rey Research Triangle's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Varsity Opponent, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 391-1433-2.
Cristo Rey Research Triangle's road trip will continue as they head out to face Carolina M at 8:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 29-17 defeat vs. Solid Rock Christian School on the 9th.
