Brayden Tyson Dazzles in Brookwood Victory
Starting off the list is Brookwood's Brayden Tyson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Tyson rushed for 226 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 76 receiving yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 128 rushing yards.
The win (which was Brookwood's fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Tyson and Brookwood will square off against Duluth at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

CJ Hollinquest and Co. Win Eighth in a Row
North Gwinnett picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to CJ Hollinquest. Hollinquest turned in his biggest game of the season, making four total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defending a pass. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards (63).
North Gwinnett's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Hollinquest and North Gwinnett will be playing in front of their home fans against Norcross at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jake Godfree Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, North Gwinnett got the W thanks in part to Jake Godfree playing the best football he has all season. Godfree wasn't messing around, picking up a sack, forcing two fumbles, and making eight total tackles (4.0 for loss). The game was his 11th straight with eight or more total tackles dating back to last season.
If the past is any indication, Godfree could be in store for another big game when he takes on Norcross on Friday. When Godfree last faced the Blue Devils back in November of 2023, he picked up a sack, made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defended two passes.

Jalen Gist produced his most outstanding game to date while leading North Gwinnett to the win on Friday. Gist picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made ten total tackles.
On the season, Gist has averaged 3.6 total tackles per game and for the season has 7 sacks. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one forced fumble. This year he is already up to three.

Brian Stokes Jr's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
Brian Stokes Jr produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Parkview to the win on Friday. Stokes Jr rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Parkview's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Panthers challenges Peachtree Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
