Madison hasn't had much luck against Lisbon recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Greyhounds at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Lisbon will be up against a hot Madison team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Boothbay on Friday.

Jonathan Prosser spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Madison let Xavier Estes and Griffin Dickey run wild. Estes got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI, while Dickey got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most RBI Dickey has posted since back in May of 2024. Jaeson Almeida was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Lisbon came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bulldogs 17-7. The Greyhounds' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Cody Osmond made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Osmond was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Jacoby Tuplin and Jayden Camp did most of the damage at the plate: Tuplin went 3-for-4 with three runs and three RBI, while Camp went 2-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Camp has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Decato, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Lisbon's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Madison, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Madison has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lisbon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Madison couldn't quite get it done against Lisbon when the teams last played back in April as they fell 7-3. Will the Bulldogs have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
