Altus waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Classen SAS Comets get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Griffin Marshall made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tate Saxon, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Naff, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Altus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .880. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Altus' victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Classen SAS, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coming up, Altus will be taking part in a tournament against Big Pasture at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Classen SAS, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against MacArthur at 5:00 p.m.
