William Stackhouse Turns in Season-Best Performance
Altoona-Midway was led to victory by William Stackhouse, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Stackhouse rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 156 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
If the past is any indication, Stackhouse could be in store for another big game when he takes on Ingalls on Friday. When Stackhouse last faced the Bulldogs back in September of 2023, he picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 48 yards.

Dylan Wark continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his sixth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 129 receiving yards and a touchdown. He has become a key player for Golden Plains: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 80 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise.
This season, Wark has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 39.2 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 8.83 receiving yards per game.

The win was the third in a row for Peabody-Burns, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Gossen and Peabody-Burns will host Chetopa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
