The Beulah Bobcats managed to keep up with the Randolph County Tigers until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Beulah's rough 50-29 loss to Randolph County might stick with them for a while. Beulah has struggled against Randolph County recently, as their game on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Randolph County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maurice Winston out in front who rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Amari Molden, who rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns.
Beulah's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-2 Dadeville (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 63.9% over those games). As for Randolph County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Beulah will head out on the road to face off against Weaver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Weaver is ranked 322nd, while Beulah is ranked 299th). As for Randolph County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dadeville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dadeville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
