She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sydney Mahoney, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Cardinal Newman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Forest Hill's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cardinal Newman, their record now sits at 2-4.
Friday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Forest Hill has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .521. However, it's not like Cardinal Newman struggles in that department as they've averaged .463. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
