If the Warner Christian Academy Eagles were riding high off their 63-12 takedown of the Crooms Academy Panthers on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Warner Christian Academy lost to Halifax Academy at home by a decisive 44-29 margin on Thursday. Warner Christian Academy lost against Halifax Academy in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 44-4 score last time.
Despite the loss, Warner Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Ella Greeno scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Greeno has scored all season.
Warner Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Halifax Academy, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Trinity Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Warner Christian Academy will host Trinity Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Halifax Academy will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
